A mini greenhouse on your table – at home or in the office?

The chilli boxes are the ideal size for raising young plants before they move to the greenhouse, polytunnel or a pot. A great gift for aspiring chilli gardeners.

The LED light (included) imitates daylight, similar to full-spectrum sunlight, which gives the best results for plant growth. The box has an adjustable round vent that lets you easily regulate the humidity – turning it also influences the temperature inside, encourages air circulation and supports growth.

The seed trays are made of high-quality plastic that is reusable with careful handling and sturdy enough. The cells with compost have a drainage hole in the bottom, which stops the root system from taking up too much water and so helps protect the roots from rot. Thanks to the transparent plastic you can watch the plants without disturbing their growth stages. The saucer catches excess water so nothing leaks.

Tips:

• You can sow 2 to 3 seeds in one cup (one cell) (not every seed germinates); when planting out, the roots can be separated and planted individually.
• For germination, a temperature of 24 – 30 °C is ideal; after germination keep them at room temperature
• Do not fertilise – the compost supplied contains all the nutrients the young plants need
• When the young plants grow bigger, take off the top lid so they have more room
